What I liked

The honesty of the actor was superb. The relevance to the current social climate, perception of race, age, and other dividing factors was spot on. The actor was more than likeable, he was relatable. The lighting was more than worthy to be applauded. Whoever was running the lights did not miss a beat and added a whole other dimension to this presentation. Great job.

What I didn't like

I thought everything worked. I am struggling to note something I didn’t like. Great experience overall.

My overall impression

I had no idea of what I was going to see, but came on advice from a friend. The idea of being “naked on stage” is how I perceived all actors to be anyway so I was not expecting to be dazzled. Our actor Kent quickly dashed my misconception of the title and I quickly learned that this was not to be a book judged by its cover- a running theme of this piece. As to not give away any spoilers, I can only say that I was more than pleasantly surprised at the depth of exploration and wit that was laid before us as we traveled through Kent’s story. It was a journey that revealed so much about this actor yet had me undoubtedly relating it to my own experiences as I watched it unfold. The outright honesty and poise that was displayed complimented the haunting lessons told about our socioeconomic environment. This was a great show. I left celebrating my own struggles and strife, promising myself that I will proudly go forward, living naked on stage.
