The character arcs specifically were rich, real, and full—something I often find myself craving in stage plays where meta-theatricality is the name of the game. The show balances all this with a great deal of comedy.
What I didn't like
I know the Fringe has natural limits on production, set, etc., but in a bigger production, I think that all the elements of the play within a play construct would be so much more hilarious and resonant with a detailed version of the central character’s dramatic fantasia. Not really a note, just something that I would look forward to!
My overall impression
Sins was an excellent way to spend 60 minutes: confused, delighted, and on the edge of your goddamned seat.
