What I liked
The props and costumes feel like a cartoon come to life, the music is super well done and really pulls the thing together, the transitions are clever and quick. Especially like how they handle the opening credits and natural curtain call to close the show.
What I didn't like
Went opening night, so the expected bumps and bruises that come with a new show. Looking forward to returning later in the run to see how it looks when polished up.
My overall impression
A faithful adaptation with great heart and clever mechanics to bring a cartoon classic to the stage. Exactly the kind of production that Fringe is for: brisk, light, fun, easy, short. Left with a smile on my face. Will definitely be back at the end of the run!
