What I liked

The performances were spot on. From a script perspective, each of the characters felt layered lending subtext to a lot of the dialog. Sometimes it’s hard to avoid characters in one-acts seeming too one-note, but Sivan, the writer and her actors combined effort to make these characters really breathe.

What I didn't like

A little more action, even in conversation. The dialog and acting is so good and natural, it’d be nice to see them accompanied by a little more busy physical work, or more dynamic stage direction when called for to avoid too many beats of just sitting and talking or standing talking.

My overall impression

The script was written with a real sense of naturalism that lends itself well to the emotional availability of which each of the actors approached their role. This team produced a piece which felt like a slice of life, grounded in a beautifully vulnerable tale of love. This show was solid and commendable, and I recommend giving it a view.
