What I liked

The creatively used space and the story.

What I didn't like

Oftentimes the action was waaaay too loud. In the mines I’m sure the voices would have echoed off the walls and miners would be more careful how they use their voices. I think some scenes would have been more effective if the actors would have whispered or whimpered or listened to their own echoes. Fear, confusion, loss, hallucinations, etc. all have different voices which I think the actors should explore for future performances.

My overall impression

This play was disturbing and haunting and I still think about those miners. Well and creatively performed in a bare room with very few props, we relied on our senses (as some action took place in total darkness) and our imagination as if we were the walls inside the mine.

This production opened my eyes and my curiosity about what these miners go through. And off to the library I go…
