What I liked
As soon as the lights went out and the first head lamp went on, I was as entranced by Butcher Holler as the first time I saw it. The play just works. The setting is intense and thrilling. The characters are well drawn with great perfromances. The language is evocative and cuts like a knife. For seventy-five minutes, I was totally transported. I love this play.
What I didn't like
Nothing.
My overall impression
Butcher Holler is the antithesis of everything expected of modern theater and that is why it shines.
