What I liked

Nearly every aspect of the show seemed painstakingly considered, rehearsed, and executed. Professionalism for its own sake doesn’t often yield an exceptional experience, but Doug not only nailed every moment of Time Traveller’s 50 minutes, he also inflected every one of those 50 minutes with affect, empathy, thoughtfulness, and humor. Massively impressive and emotionally impactful at the same time.

What I didn't like

While I love the idea of the guitar (and the conceit of the looping pedal in relation to considerations of “time”), and while the music itself was pleasing, I wonder if there was somewhat of a missed opportunity in the composition of the music (the actual arrangements) that could have done more with theories of time and repetition.

My overall impression

Doug is somehow able to perform time travel in real-time; I don’t really know how to describe it other than to say that his performance is brilliant, that each character he portrays somehow occupies their own distinct time and space within the same body, and that Doug is a very sweet caveman that had the audience’s sympathies throughout the entirety of his tumultuous courtship with Grogina.
