Such an inventive piece of theater. Seamlessly melds the astronomical with the autobiographical to create a 50-minute roller coaster ride. Normally a one-man show can run its course quickly, but Harvey's ability to jump instantly between characters makes it fun to follow along. I can imagine this play being tweaked further so it's a bit easier to follow - the story is so dense that I had to really focus - and will be excited to see future iterations. It's a must-see while it's still running; no one else is making art like this right now. ... full review

Full writeup at https://cahighways.org/wordpress/?p=15413 The show, which was written, performed, produced, and composed by Doug Harvey (FB), turned out to be a bit more incomprehensible. A message is received from the future, and so someone is recruited to go forward in time to stop it. Our intrepid hero is the selectee, and what then follows is the mission, with lots of time travel back and forth, reminiscent of the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey, and about at times as incomprehensible. On the positive side, the music was great and relaxing.... full review

I loved it. It felt like if all the time travel and sci-fi stories I love AND all the best stories about being a child, being a parent, falling in love, finding your place in the Cosmos MET and had a baby. That baby is this show. I laughed, I cried, I traveled through time. ... full review

Fantastic! A heady sci-fi solo show expertly acted and directed. Doug switches characters and emotions with ease and it is some of the best use of music on stage I have seen in awhile. This play reminds me of a the movie Primer in tone and how it grounds the sci-fi element. It is great!... full review

Doug is somehow able to perform time travel in real-time; I don't really know how to describe it other than to say that his performance is brilliant, that each character he portrays somehow occupies their own distinct time and space within the same body, and that Doug is a very sweet caveman that had the audience's sympathies throughout the entirety of his tumultuous courtship with Grogina.... full review

A great piece of interesting amd engaging science fiction that never sacrificed its emotional heart for the science. Even when the real science got a little over my head I never felt alienated or disconnected. I laughed with and felt deeply for all of the characters, whom Doug Harvey plays with strong technically skill; his body, voice, and presence completely changing with each new person.... full review

I was very impressed with this show! Doug Harvey seamlessly switches from one character to another with an ease and simplicity that very few actors can manage. The story captivated, and the message was beautiful. Direction and structure of the story was fantastic. Must be experienced!... full review
