I loved all of the actors, they seemingly effortlessly switched their characters and were very believable when necessary. The plot also felt very original despite being based on a real event.
What I didn't like
The ending was predictable, but I didn’t mind it. The show started to slow down for me around the second act, it started to feel long. I also found the fan fiction parts a bit long, they could be shortened.
My overall impression
I expected this show to be a ridiculous romp, and while it delivered on that expectation, it also showed a softer, genuine side that was unexpected and heartwarming. It caters to a kind of niche audience, but works very well for those it it. If you enjoy Harry Potter, fan fiction, or quirky coming of age stories this show is for you.
