The songs were well-written, funny, and actually helped advance the narrative. The staging was quite clever for an extremely low-budget production, and the character switching was well-played for laughs. My daughter wants to know if there is a cast recording because she loved some of the songs.
What I didn't like
It did feel like it took a few minutes to get going, which may have been an issue with actors working back into their roles. It didn’t take too long to get things going, though. That said, the lighting was kinda weird, at least from my vantage point.
My overall impression
Funny, delightful, and engaging. There’s nothing wrong with being unabashedly positive and having a truly happy ending. I was genuinely surprised when it ended, because I thought it had only been 60 minutes rather than 90.
