What I liked

Acting is key to this show working. Everyone is on the money and I especially liked the niece and the mother in wonderful supporting work

What I didn't like

I think the show would be helped if it were longer with an intermission. I believe the sister needs to be more developed in relationship to her brother and his husband. She seems both “low class” and yet in her words supportive of her brother as well. I believe her arrest at the end would be more tragic if we saw her in a slightly more developed context which would come with possibly a scene with her and the brother and his husband and also with a scene between her and the drug dealing daughter. So a 90 or 100 minute play with an intermission on the next go of a very fine script and cast.

My overall impression

A very complicated show with a wonderful cast. Show boarders but doesn’t cross into melodrama and that is largely the skill of the cast.
