The acting was really great. Ryan was a particular standout for me — I think he struck a great balance between concerned, caring son and put-upon, burdened, and overwhelmed by having to care for his father. It was very easy to root for him and his father and also really heart-wrenching. Really great, real life themes. I loved the live percussion.
What I didn't like
The sexuality of the first play was difficult to watch but I understand why it was staged that way — it got the message across very well. I mean, how do you discuss sexuality and the Catholic church and have it be comfortable?
