What I liked

The music was the highlight of this show, done very well by Brandon Pfeltz and Michael Perrie Jr. Pfeltz was also magnificent as the depressed and suicidal Pocketmon (whose name I can’t type in fear of murdering it). Sydney Bell was the standout in the ensemble, playing multiple characters with such commitment and comedic timing that I thought she was different people for a while. I’ve never been so afraid of a tree in my life.

What I didn't like

There were a few deadspots in the songs that threw off the rhythm, they could use some cutting and tightening up. The show started slow and took time to get to the action, but picked up after “Montage Song”. Sometimes the sound would eclipse the actors, and sometimes visa versa. I love the parodyness of it, but maybe fewer inside jokes would make it available to a broader audience.

My overall impression

A fun parody of a much beloved franchise, catering heavily to fans of the past and present. You’ll see blown out versions of all of your favorite characters, and tap your foot and nod your head along with the catchy music.
