What I liked

Though everyone did a great job, the biggest highlight to me was Felinus (Meowth). He was spot-on, it was uncanny. I loved the songs, the sound effects, the battles were hilarious. And I really loved the spirit of the show—you could tell the cast was having just as much fun as the audience.

What I didn't like

I went to the preview night, so basing off of that I’d say it needed maybe one or two more rehearsals, to polish it up some.

My overall impression

This show was such a blast! It was full of a bunch of laughs and a bunch of heart. It’s definitely geared more toward Pokemon fans (with plenty of references to the series, the games, and even online fan theories), but I think anyone that sees it will get a kick out of it. The cast is hilarious, the songs are a little too catchy (Bug Catcher Brian will be stuck in your head for quite a while) (not a bad thing) (so will Triple Threat) (again, not a bad thing), the choreography was fun, the script was great. It was overall such a fun time and a fun show. I’m happy I got to see it, and I look forward to seeing where this musical goes! Really, really great job all around.
