She found the humor in her situation, and even if reccounting some of the events brought tears, she found a way to pull out the silver lining. I really loved her summation of all the ingenue parts she missed out on with a rousing number highlighting parts from musical theater classics like Rizzo from GREASE. Plus she was so skillful with her puppets in getting them to do the most tasteful, raunchy gyrations. Glad I got to experience it.
What I didn't like
Tom Cruise and the Alien should have gotten it on.
My overall impression
Cathy had a fierce bawdiness, humor, and great voice for belting out cabaret songs while illuminating and throwing shade on her plight with Scientology. Puppets, costumes, and songs serve as totems for her reckoning with the cult, but one realizes her performance is an artistic ritual of atonement with herself through blissful song and dance.
