This show lasted an hour and twenty minutes, and not once did Vanessa show any signs of exhaustion, nor did she give any of her amazing characters any less respect of portrayal. Each one was well rounded, clear, and defined. And the creativity of the premise made me wish she would write the whole thing as a book – at least the first half as a children’s/young adult’s book.
What I didn't like
The length had me fearing that I would not make my next Fringe show in time. The piece might have been better served with a little editing. But the acting and story were fascinating.
My overall impression
With boundless, almost phrenetic energy, Vanessa Boss commands the stage in this coming of age story peopled with many colorful fairy tale-like characters from her psyche. Her movement in and out of these characters is an impressive emotionally acrobatic feat.
