What I liked
The intertwining involvement that unfolds between all of the characters is great. The throwback flavor of the shows songs brings fond memories of the good ol’ days of MTV. Nigel’s choreography was a hoot!
What I didn't like
I know it’s petty but there were several moments where the artists turned away from the audience to sing to a character. The sweet lady playing Darcy has a strong voice when she uses it, but would benefit by bringing more volume and power to some of her weaker tunes. Gina was great but would like to see her in a grayish wig before the Rewind to place greater emphasis on the jump. I would like to see Ram as a bit more eccentric and not look quite so normal. Some hippy glasses on Mark would be more in character. Tommy is an 80’s rocker and should have some big hair!
My overall impression
Rewind is a “feel good” musical and I left the theater with a huge smile on my face!
