June 24, 2019What I liked
The overflow of content. There was so much to soak in as far as substance for the audience to take in and digest that there was no need for frivolous costumes or elaborate set designs. The director, Matt Hennigar, dazzled his audience with his actors’ witty dialogues and his intricately woven scenario all of which were able to exist on a modest stage. Oh and Chicken steals the show. Bravo.
What I didn't like
Perhaps some would suggest the actor’s costumes could be improved. But saying that would be focusing on the wrong thing. The script and spot-on portrayals of the words are what truly shine in this play, not the visuals.
My overall impression
A very entertaining and thought-provoking play. I was challenged to pay attention and really think about each character and their purpose. Each had a specificity to the story line that I found to be really interesting to figure out. The characters one-by-one were unique and memorable. As they connected and disconnected from another throughout the play, it made for an interestingly developing plot. I enjoyed watching the characters try to understand their existences while I myself was trying to understand where the story line would end up. A very clever premise made for a really different and imaginative experience.
