What I liked

Okay into the fun stuff.
The MOMENT Matthew takes the stage to introduce himself, you know for the rest of the night you are in good hands. Still ringing in my head as I write this is his opening line ,“Hello Los Angeles”! His positive energy and smile sets the mood for the rest of the show.

What I love the most is the moment the show kicks off we are immediately transcended into this world of words. The quick witted dialogue keeps you on the edge of your seat. Each “word”, or character, in the show have a wonderful approach on how they see the world. Real world? Not yet…but when they find it I really want to be there. Also, I have never seen an actor so committed as the actor who portrays “Chicken”. Bravo!! Not one (technical line) in the show, but powerful performance. Who is the my favorite word you might ask? …Did I need to answer that? Closing moments of the show answer the most important questions, and tie up loose ends. We are now in anticipation of how will Matthew close the curtain? With one final engaging act, the cast creates my favorite moment of the entire show…. We see unity and true kinship. “Why DID The Chicken Cross The Road? To Get To The Other Side.”

What I didn't like

The only thing that needs to be improved is the amount of seats in this theatre, more people need to be able to experience this show!

My overall impression

Where to begin… I’ll do my best.
This show gives new meaning and breathes fresh air into one of the oldest jokes in the book. “Why did the chicken cross the road?” …yes I know what you’re thinking…this joke has been done and done and done….but this simple joke has never been heard or seen like this before. Mathew Hennigar takes us on a journey through self -realization, uncertainty, camaraderie, leadership, and love. Matthew, through his dynamic cast, shows us that when we come together there is no WORD too small.
