What I liked
I loved the distinction between each different role being played – brilliant character work! The unassuming normalcy of the main character never got stale or trite – we could almost understand him, almost. I loved the Pit. The Pit was its own character.
What I didn't like
This is only a preference thing – I didn’t really connect with the video feeds that interspersed the performance, but I can understand needing to give the actor a break to catch their breath! The switch to seriousness at the end was a little jarring since everything up to that point had been a bit whimsical, but it was so well acted that I was on board, no matter what.
My overall impression
Completely off the wall wacky, yet solid, grounded writing and acting keep you riveted in your seat during this fantastic one-man show.
