What I liked
The videos for transitions set the stage for the town and each scene, the writing was fantastic, and the simple set with the pit on the side worked very well. The scare at the end was effective; I jumped near out of my seat! Mitchell was great as every character, but I think my favorite was the sheriff.
What I didn't like
I wish we had seen more of the town. More of the people in it, more videos about reactions to the killings. The long scenes got us invested into the characters we saw, but it shrank the world down a bit too much.
My overall impression
Dark, wild, and gripping from hilarious start to surprisingly scary end, Pit of Goblins drops you in a small town with nothing wrong except for the serial killer and goblins commanding him. One of the best one person shows this year, Mitchell Bisschop commands the stage with every character in this smartly written and well produced act.
