What I liked
What a creative way to tell a new and original story, while also showcasing some of the more sinister and even naive aspects of our modern American society. Pit of Goblins is such a different kind of one man show, and nothing like I expected! I thoroughly enjoyed Mitchell Bisschop’s performance and the way the whole show was structured! I was curious, and horrified, laughing the entire show! It’s rare a one man show keeps me on my toes, but this one did.
What I didn't like
Every choice in this show was so deliberate and specific, I don’t think the show would have worked with any changes. Although I would love to see the next rendition in an alternative immersive maybe even slightly more intimate space.
My overall impression
Having no idea what I was walking into, I’m so glad I did! Pit of Goblins is everything I love about horror and comedy, and Mitchell Bisschop’s performance as not 1, but 4 insane characters was well worth the price of admission!
