What I liked
The fact that Royce wrote, produced, and starred in this show is a testament to how much this truly felt like his life experience. Many people can say that they had a moment when they felt trapped in the matrix of life, but not too many can say that they took the leap of faith to break away. This was a great show that I think would be inspirational and helpful for anyone to see.
The show was hilarious, insightful, and gives its audience a taste of what it feels like to pack your backpack and leave everything to chance. Royce’s use of audio and visual components gave the show clever and necessary breaks from the monologue, so that the audience could remain engaged. The characters that he played were hilarious and really helped the audience visualize exactly what his experiences were like. And who doesn’t like to see a black man in a wig?
