This was a darkly funny, dystopian take on a timeshare pitch. Great world building without being too expositional, and the presentation and audience props helped to support. Actors were great and committed, especially the charming emcee and questioning rockstar.
What I didn't like
I came to this show because it was marketed as being immersive, but I would not actually say it was. There were no real opportunities for audience members to participate or influence the story. It was theatre without a fourth wall and the audience got free beer. That being said, I thought the format worked very well for the show. I just wouldn’t classify it as immersive theatre.
I also think it could have been trimmed slightly. I was at the late show, but some segments felt like they went on a bit too long.
My overall impression
Dark, clever, and dystopian with great performances by all involved. Great writing and very funny. I really enjoyed myself at Life Plan!
