What I liked
It reminded me of fantastical stories I grew up on like The Wizard of Oz. The addition of the live fight choreography gave it a different and exciting layer. The theatre stage was perfectly suited to the ambitious production. And at the end of the day, the heart was the most important part of the story they were telling which really sang in the direction and performances.
What I didn't like
I think the audio cues could be cranked up a few notches. In particular the music during the dance sequence. That theatre space is big and the audio often felt a little too lean and light.
My overall impression
The emotion was bold and felt earned. The action was complex and felt extremely well rehearsed. The performances were strong and the technical aspects felt fun and engrossing.
