What I liked
Vivi Thai’s performance. Without knowing first this was a play written by Qui Nguyen and performed many times over around the country, I thought it was her true story! That either tells you what a damn good actress she is, or how ignorant I am. Let’s go with the first one. I love how this cast plays the humor, the 90’s lingo is really well done. Truly, this play had our house crying as well, because we all saw how this game could help bridge gaps in communication between many of us who’ve been different or misunderstood or even tried to understand a fellow geek.
What I didn't like
Not much! Keep it up! It’s our Dungeon Master’s stage debut – amaaazing job – so I just want to kindly make sure he knows to make some of his zinger lines audible/heard.
My overall impression
Excellent play that takes full advantage of the Arena space. Great cast that love playing with each other. You don’t even have to understand D&D to get the jokes! Fight choreography!!!! Steeeeeve!
