What I liked
All the cast committed beautifully. Each choice was clear and precise. The writing felt REAL. Things that I thought as an audience member of “that wouldn’t happen like that” was almost IMMEDIATELY answered by something a character would comment or say they were thinking…really gave me a powerfully empathetic look into the world of schools and our youth.
What I didn't like
To be nitpicking, the ending was so well thought out of all the pieces falling into place the way they need to…it took a little long to wrap it all into a bow…and maybe sitting in the front row right corner wasn’t the best for the blocking they had set up, but honestly, it was still worth watching this cast anyway. I could watch them watch ice melt to be honest.
My overall impression
POWERFUL. Explosive performances. Subtle transitions, beautiful and unique storytelling. It feels familiar and new at the same time.
