What I liked

The show, as well as the theatre, was intimate. Though the content was serious/dark, it emanated a warmth that made the characters feel more like friends or people you knew personally. This connectedness could also be felt amongst the audience members as we all sat in close proximity experiencing the stories and emotions of the characters on stage.

There was a clear yet complex story line that invoked a range of emotions… fear, angst, relief, joy, empathy, etc. Each character whether they were on stage for the entire show or just for a few minutes performed/delivered lines that made their character multifaceted and believable.

Lastly, I really liked how No More Toys intricately built out a message of forgiveness (of self and others), empathy, and redemption… something that we all need to hear and experience especially given today’s social climate.

What I didn't like

Mics maybe? Some of the actors could not be heard/understood clearly unless they were yelling.

My overall impression

An intense and powerful performance. I truly enjoyed this show. I am so grateful to have witnessed/been able to support such a meaningful story. Thank you!
