The play doesn’t have any fat which is a compliment to the writing of Pierce Minor. I loved how quickly the audience is drawn in and how the conflict resolves itself over time. Everyone on stage had a great performance-I could see the minor differences which makes each character unique. Well…except for the janitor. He was extremely ecstatic and I thought that it gives a small needed break from the scenario. It is always a great thing when you do exactly what you wanted and I think this is just that.
What I didn't like
There could have been more movement on stage because I thought that it became a little too static at times. Voices could have been projected more but that might be because of where I was sitting in the theatre- the audience doesn’t sit as close to the stage as other venues.
My overall impression
With no time wasted No More Toys instantly throws you into a melting pot of characters who end up fighting for their lives. It’s pure with its intention and makes you consider everyone in the room.
