What I liked
Aisha Kasmir is a charismatic performer. Her musical and comedic talents shined throughout. I thought the background videos were a fun touch and the reworkings of the Riperton classics were really well done. It was clear that there was a lot of attention to detail done on this show.
What I didn't like
I thought that sometimes the background music was a bit too loud overshadowing the spoken dialogue.
My overall impression
I thought this was a great show! Selfie is an entertaining dive into one woman’s search for identity through music and dance. Overall I found it to be a fun and enjoyable show, professionally staged, with an uplifting message.
