What I liked
I laughed, I got a little choked up. Most of all the acting and the writing, as well as the direction was really well executed. The cleverness of the framing devise used was quite entertaining. Ayo really did a lot of great work establishing her characters. I really felt I was watch all her characters come to life.
What I didn't like
My only improvement comment is that It was a little hard to follow (hear) the announcements in the airport and the “Manny” character at the end didn’t rise to the level of what Ayo was delivering. It was a little flat and the announcements were a little hard to understand. I fell the first part had more to do with the sound system.
My overall impression
How old was I when saw the best show at Hollywood Fringe Festival I’ve ever seen? I was today years old. Ayo Majek’s “Girl From Schenectady“ is too good of a show to be just running In Fringe. It should be running Off-Broadway in NYC. Wonderful writing, extremely well Directed and, most of all incredibly well-acted. An emotionally candid entertaining flight of delight. Extended this week. Go see it – for realz. 👍🏻👍🏻
