What I liked

What I liked most about this show is how it relates to all people. Even though it was specific to her situation, it seems that growing up is always specific to an environment. It feels like the emotional struggle that one has as a child and then maturing to understand that you do not have to be a victim, that you can become whoever you choose IF you use what you faced to build your inner strength was the underlying theme. Tanya took her story and shared it with the world in a way in which one might say, “Our past creates the strength of our present life.”

What I didn't like

Since I wasn’t able to be there in person – online is never as good as in person. I would say the only improvement would be to be there in person.

My overall impression

From the very beginning of the show, the talented Ms. Thomas had the audience enthralled. Her portrayal of the storyline resonated true to the many emotions one would feel when growing up as she did. Her presentation as a drag queen was fabulous. The many characters of the story were so well performed that is was easy to transform from one character to the next character.
