What I liked

The program doesn’t seem to specify but it seemed to me that the performers might be the very women whose story we are watching unfold and that makes this important quest for legal protection very real and immediate. Also the predator figure, the way he is costumed and made up, it is truly unsettling and the show lets that feeling linger to the point where you are squirming in your seat in discomfort. Good.

What I didn't like

As mentioned above, scene changes or transitions seemed to take a little bit of time to execute and that does tend to suck some of the momentum out of the piece but that’s not a big enough deal to undermine what you’ve accomplished here.

My overall impression

I know this theatre is off the beaten path but please, I beg you, give it a try. Not only is the space just stunning, but this is also the kind of social justice theatre we need more of in this unjust world. There were moments where pace lagged or transitions took a while but those are quickly forgotten the second the action picked back up. If you aren’t impacted by the stories that are told here, I don’t even know what you are but you aren’t fully human. If you don’t notice how many people in the audience around you are silently crying along with the women on stage, you need to wake up.
