What I liked

I quite liked the narrative arc of the participant slowly becoming a monster, and thought the writing of the audio guide did a good job of pacing out the change during the experience. The cast as well turned in solid performances, with each bringing a very different vibe to the table and their dialogue slowly feeding participants lore about what’s really going on. The contrast and conflict between the different voices in “my” head provide connect the scripted interactions and slowly shift the tone without giving too much away until the show’s conclusion.

What I didn't like

I struggled a bit with understanding who the final scripted encounter was meant to be. Were they a hallucination? A real person with a mental disorder? A glimpse into the future? Perhaps the confusion was deliberate, meant to be a symptom of our blossoming madness, but I couldn’t quite figure out what they were meant to represent. Still, their performance was strong enough that I was able to let it go and embrace the weird.

My overall impression

A fun, surreal, mobile show involving a walk around Hollywood with the help of an increasingly creepy audio guide. Your “internal voice” leads you from one encounter to the next, where you slowly learn the anxiety attack that kicks off the experience is only the beginning: something sinister is happening around you… and inside you.
