The characters, the cultural specificity, the simplistic lighting, the dialogue.
What I didn't like
The only thing I saw was an icon from the projector that was being projected onto a curtain but it was so faint it was hard to even tell it was coming from the projector.
My overall impression
I saw this absolutely wonderful show during its debut and fell in love instantly within the first few minutes.
The concept of this play is excellent and very beautifully executed. The characters are all discreetly developed throughout the piece- one of which was revealed to be the character I connected to most who had one of the smallest parts in the show until the close.
This piece is eerie, hilarious, relevant and unique. Everything I love in one. It has incredibly dark, dry humor, yet very vivid and on-the-nose moments that lighten the story.
I can’t wait to see the future work this uncanny and kind-hearted playwright produces in the future.
