What I liked

This show is hilarious from beginning to end. Matt Ritchey delivers a great performance as the clueless Travis. Jim Niedzialkowski delivers a straight man performance right out of Bud Abbot’s bag of tricks. Ritchey’s script expertly skewers a culture we are all familiar with and Matthew Martin’s sharp direction leaves no moment wasted. Solo shows, which are a staple of the Fringe, are an extremely difficult art form. When done well, they’re amazing. But when done poorly…well…it doesn’t get much more agonizing to watch. This show just nails the bad ones with expert aim. I can’t recommend it more.

What I didn't like

Nothing for this run. If this show were to go to Edinburgh or to another city I think it would need to be adapted slightly to remove some of the more esoteric references. But I think that would be easily done because this show, I think, would play in any other theater town and audiences would love it.

My overall impression

Spot on spoof/satire of solo shows, Fringe culture and annoying actors. This is the solo show I’ve been waiting for!
