Loved how funny Rachel was, how smart and woke the script and commentary was, I appreciated the 3-dimensional treatment of Anne Frank, I loved how Rachel wove her own life story in, the ending was so so moving. I cried! I really appreciated how educational it was too. I learned a lot about Jewish culture and Anne Frank that I didn’t know before, and when I was growing up I loved reading Holocaust children’s books haha. Also, gotta love the free snacks at the beginning. Loved the running joke of reclaiming the word “Jewess”.
What I didn't like
Nothing glaring comes to mind! I guess at times, the voiceover sound cue for Anne’s entries seemed to come a smidge late, so maybe just tightening it up so it would come on right away when the slide came up so I wasn’t reading ahead of the voice.
My overall impression
alternately funny, moving, complex, intelligent tribute to Anne Frank
