What I liked
I liked how Rachel blended comedy and tragedy. It felt cathartic and real. I like how she infuse stories from Anne’s life, stories from her own life growing up in the South, and current political examples — she combined the 3 very well. Powerful performance.
What I didn't like
It was the premiere and the show felt like it could be a little smoother. But overall it was great — I laughed, I cried. I loved it.
My overall impression
Great show! It’s hard to pull off a funny, poignant and politically relevant one woman show and that’s exactly what Rachel Steele. Bravo to her! I highly recommend Shiva For Anne Frank.
