What I liked
I love the female centered focus in the second chunk. Without “making it about women” it just happens to be their point of view.
And I adored the unadulterated freedom you can find through a stranger in a strange place that is tearing you to pieces for his own laughs. Tears you down so you can open up.
What I didn't like
Nah.
My overall impression
These two writers are the perfect compliment to each other. The first show existing in a space you would never think to wonder about, with two chaotically different experiences of it, pure isolated fear and freedom. And in the second performance – existing in a space you are afraid to think about, facing horrors of humankind and specifically the female experience of them. The actors, the writing, and the simple set will leave you a mess. An emotional journey, this hour is not to be missed! Get in while you can!
