Robert Gardner’s “Death Unit” speaks to life and death in an intense, surprising, and yes, even funny way. The fine writing is complemented by strong acting from G. Smokey Campbell, Robert DiTillio, and Shakira Reedus. Christian Martin’s direction is deft and well-paced.
Rodney Nugent’s “Lost Voices” puts humanity on trial with personal stories from three women survivors. Courtney Dominique Comer, Jen Mcallister and Bazma Najem play the women with depth and dignity. Mona Lee Wylde plays their inquisitor. Frieda de Lackner’s direction makes the most of the material and fine cast.

The AC?
My overall impression
These two shows because they are compelling theater — great writing, excellent direction and sensitive acting combined to move you, the way theater should.
