What I liked
The visual, verbal, and physical differences between characters made me relate to them immediately. What started as a cute coming of age story became dark, honest, and very moving.
What I didn't like
Lara seemed nervous, but that’s what previews are for. I don’t think the voices need to be introduced every time they come up. Trust the work and the audience to follow along. And the faster we get to the story with her ex, the better. That’s where the heart of the play is, and although painful, it’s far too common to not be relatable.
My overall impression
A charming premise that reveals itself to be a powerful message of self love and self realization. Lara created her own fairy tale and tells it well, with the help of several characters that she switches between deftly through the show.
