What I liked
The time-travel mechanics get a little hand-wavy, and with so many characters (band, manager, diner owner) shuffled into the past, some threads feel more sketched-in than developed.
What I didn't like
It’s a good-natured, high-energy jukebox-adjacent musical that leans into nostalgia rather than trying to subvert it — best enjoyed as a fun, unpretentious romp rather than a tightly plotted story.
My overall impression
The premise is delightfully odd — a meteorite-powered Elvis mic sending a rockabilly band back to the birth of rock & roll is the kind of “so silly it works” hookthat blends the silly and the sweet with song and dance, channeling the ridiculous charm of The Monkees and the retro romance of Elvis movies.
