What I liked
Both the actor and the musical accompaniment are clearly very good at what they do; the show cycles through a lot of styles of music in a short period of time, but it does so without feeling overwrought.
What I didn't like
I don’t know if this is an improvement per se but I’ll be honest, I kind of lost the plot for a second in the lead-in to “palaces”.
My overall impression
The show was smart, funny and earnest. I thought it brought a fresh perspective on modern dating that didn’t feel overly fatalistic. Overall I had a great time, and I’m not usually a huge musical person.
