What I liked
Actor-Alena Bernardi and Writer/Director-Carly Pandza have brought forth to the stage a theatrical masterpiece that blends facetious lyrics, spirited musical numbers and a sincerity that delivers an amazing experience worth much more than the price of admission. Bernardi, who also composed the shows’s music, shines like a radiant Disney princess come to life. Indeed, there are no labels, such as the cliched triple threat, that can be used to describe this once in a generation talent; nor would you want to try and find one. She can act, dance and play musical instruments. But, oh, that voice! A classically trained singer, Bernardi is a true artist of such caliber that could thrill audiences in Opera houses across Europe or make the lights on Broadway that much brighter. It is a privilege to watch her in any performance.

The performing arts world should take note of this and future productions from HER Theatre Company, as well as the innovative partnership of Alena Bernardi and Carly Pandza. This dynamic duo is sure to thrill the masses with charm, wit, energy and love. Well done!
My overall impression
For those brave enough to venture into the world of online dating, you now have a voice; and a sultry one at that. Alena Bernardi takes on the role of “Polly”, a young woman searching for romance, with a passion that cannot be denied. Quite the contrary, the audience will be drawn in as Polly takes them along for a ride that is both easily relatable and socially relevant like no other show you’ve seen before. Through the use of mobile technology, Polly has control over virtually every aspect of her life. Every aspect, that is, except one: dating. As Polly seeks out an answer to solve the puzzle placed upon her by societal constructs, we come to realize that learning to love ourselves, as we are, must come before looking for validation through romance.
