The theme of unrealistic body-image expectations and its toxic effects, especially as it applies to young girls and women, was powerfully explored. It was eye opening.
What I didn't like
Honestly, the few technical issues I noticed were very minor and handled well by the actors and tech crew and will not doubt continue to be ironed out throughout the run. That’s the nature of a Fringe show.
My overall impression
Don’t let the title put you off, CRACKWHORE, BULIMIC, GIRL-NEXT-DOOR is painfully funny, fueled by anger, but held together by compassion. The writing, directing and acting are so direct and honest, they feel revelatory. Don’t miss it.
