What I liked

Many, many laughs. Inventive stagecraft. Hilarious performances. Cock Milk.

What I didn't like

The script could’ve been a little tighter.

My overall impression

Like RIDDLEY WALKER and MR. BURNS, OLIVIA WILDE DOES NOT SURVIVE THE APOCALYPSE concerns the production of a popular work of our era in a post-apocalyptic future. But I don’t think anyone has done it as comically as playwright Matthew Robinson and the cast and crew of this show. Sean-Michael Bowles and Emilie Martz play a director and an actor unfrozen into futuristic police state where their lives depend on their production of Oscar Wilde’s THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. Director Robby Devillez has assembled a cast with amazing charisma and well-honed comic timing. Every actor shines, including Asia Lynn Pitts as a gun nut, Chris Bunyi as a miner turned actor, and Bowles, whose perfectly pitched straight man to the mayhem surrounding him holds down the center to the production.
