What I liked
Man, what an absolute trip! I go to Fringe for exactly this kind of unhinged, high-energy comedy. The whole premise of a hack director and an actress waking up 300 years in the future to a fascist society that worships Olivia Wilde is brilliantly absurd. It’s a hilarious, chaotic ride and honestly just a perfect Fringe show.
What I didn't like
Honestly, just some minor staging and projection things. A few of the cleverest jokes got swallowed because the actors were facing upstage or talking over each other during the really wild scenes. Just push the vocal volume a little more when things get chaotic so we don’t miss any of the writing!
My overall impression
The world-building and pop culture gags landed flawlessly. The clash between the Beyonce rebels and the Olivia Wilde stans was chef’s kiss. Every single actor brought 110% to the stage. The stakes during their play-within-a-play were so ridiculously high that it honestly felt like watching someone desperately try to beat that no touching forsaken Game—just pure, stressful survival mode where one wrong move gets you executed on live TV. So much fun!
