Oliver Rotunno and Ember Everett and true leads. I’ve found myself quietly singing Mia Cotton’s opening number several times since I’ve seen it. The full ensemble didn’t miss a beat, and was replete with leading role level talent. Also hats off to Leo Ayala, with his stellar voice and stellar work as Lee.
What I didn't like
Since the physical stage was quite wide, I would have loved to see the stage split into two separate sets for some scenes, to avoid the ensemble having to lift and move set pieces after each scene.
My overall impression
Confident and dedicated stars and ensemble propel this production to high heights and emotionally devastating lows. Their encore show on 7/6 is worth checking out!
