Mimi and Mara were able to share the pain of their transformation in such a way that the audience can feel and understand it without experiencing too much raw pain themselves. They have come full circle in their trans process and are able to tell their whole story with levity and love. By the end of the show you think, “This is just an average married couple who have been together a long time who just happen to be trans.”
What I didn't like
More harmonica!
My overall impression
Heart felt, honest, and endearing. Mimi and Mara make one of the most complex issues of our time very relatable by distilling it down for us so we can see their story through the lens of love, humor, and some really good harmonica.
