What I liked
I loved watching the interplay but also seeing this couple as solo entities, each with her own ghosts and lessons to be learned along the way. I almost broke down seeing Mara’s depression come through. Very believable. Very real. And loved seeing Mimi’s steadiness and rock-solid belief in her love as the anchoring point for both of them.
What I didn't like
Needs a bigger room eventually. Could be longer (I did not want it to end). Could consider more journaling or personal pages read aloud about Mimi’s inner life during this tough evolution for both of them.
My overall impression
This would, for anyone, be a difficult performance to put on stage for all the world to see. It was an intensely personal look into what few of us experience — a rare world to be invited as a guest and a visit that will make every one of us come out better for having spent the time.
